'Tis the Chrismas Season

We are cozy in our condo for the Christmas season. Here's some of our going's on.

Our tree is small but pretty.

We are using the tomato-stand tree I usually use for my collection of pewter ornaments. We bought some decorations and tarted it up on Sunday. It is very pretty twinkling in the corner.

Leo can't find me now!

Smudge has taken to sleeping in the bottom of it.

All cozy

She is flexible though. She also likes to cozy up in bed. Sometimes she even leaves some room for me.

Surveying his kingdom

Leo is just being himself. He likes to survey the street.

Thanks again Grandma!

Santa is apparently getting all the credit for filling the Advent calendar this year. (sheesh) No matter who filled it, it is the first thing Emma does every morning. It is making it much easier to get her out of bed!

Listening to The Grinch

We went to the kid's Christmas party at the sailing club on the weekend. Emma was front and center for the stories.

Happy Thanksgiving

Sorry for the belated post. We've been pre-occupied with moving and preparations for the BIG RENO.
Here's a Thanksgiving picture from Emma.

First Letter to Santa

(as dictated by Emma)

Dear Santa,

How are your elves doing with making the toys? How is your mommy doing? How does your sled fly? How do your reindeer fly?

I love your elves making toys. For Christmas I would like a Cinderella doll.

Easter Weekend

We had an eventful Easter weekend. We got to see cousin Collin who is growing like a weed.

Went for dinner to celebrate Becky's, Aunt Lucy's and Grandma's birthdays. Emma was able to finally wear her new poka-dot dress.

and Collin got spiffed up in a new bow tie

And of course got lots of Easter loot!

Fallen Angel

This year we went to a halloween costume party at the sailing club. Doug was an angel (no one believed it). Didn't take many trips to the bar to get his wings drooping. I knew it was trouble when his halo slipped!

Trick or Treat!

Emma helped pick out a pumpkin and was all excited about making a scary jack-o-lantern. This is about as close as she got to helping though. When she found out you had to reach your hand in and scrape out the yucky guts it suddenly became mom's job. In some ways she is soooo her father's daughter.

We went out trick-or-treating with Batman and his mom. Once Emma got the hang of it she was running from house to house. Too cute.
